Hi everyone, hope you are all having a fab weekend 🙂 so this weekend I noticed that my empties bag was looking pretty full so I thought I would share with you all the products that I have used up over the last few months and a mini review on them 🙂
Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder
I quite liked this powder, when I first bought it and got home I thought it was a powder foundation because the consistancey was really creamy but it is just a normal setting powder. It does have a bit of coverage and when you put your brush in it, a lot of the powder kicks up if you know what I mean so I feel you get a lot of wastage with it.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads
These aren’t actually empty they just make my skin break out so much that they are going in the bin. I’ve tried them a few times but every time I wake up with loads of spots the next day. I was really disappointed with these.
Soap and Glory Face Soap and Clarity
I liked this face wash, did a good job of cleaning the skin but it did make my skin feel quite tight after use. I have gone back to using Simple face washes again now and my skin is looking much much better, not perfect but better.
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum
This is a night time serum that contains glycolic acid and is supposed to help to reduce the signs of ageing. I’ve bought a few of these, it’s a nice serum I do like it, I didn’t notice any effect on my fine lines though unfortunately.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light
I loved this moisturiser, it had a bit of a gel like consistancey and really hydrated the skin without feeling too heavy. It also smelt beautiful and I love the packaging. Vichy is a brand that I really turn to as their products and their formulations are spot on and they are affordable. They are more expensive than the usual high street brands but it’s not that much and I’ve learnt to spend that little bit more on your skincare as it makes all the difference.
Soap and Glory Hand Food
I’m sure you already know this but this hand cream is amazing! It’s affordable, is really nourishing and smells divine. You need this hand cream!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow
I was so sad that I had to throw this away as it still has product in it! But it’s dried out and is sooo hard to work with. Dipbrow is an amazing product, it sculpts the brows, fills them in and adds colour. It can be hard to work with at first but practice makes perfect and make sure you have a good brush to use with it.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Original Lip Balm
I bought this when I was having my cocoa butter phase and ended up hating the smell of it because I was using way too many cocoa butter products 😦 however, it’s a really good lip balm and my lips felt amazing when I was using it, I had no dry flaky patches at all.
Repurchase? Not in the original formula as I don’t like the scent anymore, I have bought the dark chocolate and cherry one though 🙂
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
I featured this in my July favourites and I absolutely love it. I’ve never bought a high end mascara as I really liked the L’Oreal ones and I get through mascara really quickly and couldn’t justify buying a high end mascara every few months… This is a game changer though. It adds tonnes of volume and length and the brush gets every little lash.

Sanex Dermo Control Deodorant
I liked this deodorant, it did the job, smelt a bit soapy though and it didn’t irritate my under arms.
Simple Spotless Skin Face Wash
I find Simple face washes really good. They’re affordable and are gentle on the skin. This one contains zinc which helps fight spots which I think it does, it also doesn’t dry out the skin and strip it of natural oils too much like other spot fighting washes do.
First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Daily Face Cream
Another product that isn’t empty. This stuff made my skin break out load so, I was really disappointed by this and the Radiance Pads, I thought First Aid Beauty was a brand for sensitive skin and was expecting it to be like Simple but a high end version of it. Won’t be buying anything from this brand again.
Got 2 B Rise ‘n Shine Hair Spray
This hair spray was ok, it didn’t add any volume and it didn’t add any shine but it did have quite good hold.
Calvin Klein Downtown
I really really liked this perfume. It’s quite fresh and light, perfect for the summer time. I can’t describe fragrances at all but this one is good, try to get a sample of it!
Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Butter
This was a nice body butter, very thick and nourishing but it does make your skin feel really greasy afterwards. Again, it’s cocoa butter and I don’t like the smell of it anymore.
Repurchase? Maybe in a different scent.
Nivea Vanilla & Macadamia Lip Butter
When I bought this I thought it was a really nice lip butter but after a few weeks / months of using it, I realised that it was making my lips more dry and chapped. There’s something in this that really didn’t agree with my lips.
Soap and Glory Girligo Spray on Moisturisng Body Mist
As you can see, I’m a sucker for Soap and Glory body products! This one is awesome, it’s a spray on body lotion and it’s really light and refreshing, plus it has the original signature Soap and Glory scent. I’ve been buying this for years and probably will continue to.

So that is everything for this instalment of my Empties series. Let me know your view on the products mentioned 🙂 naturally, if you were looking at buying any of the products above and I haven’t liked them, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t work for you but try to get a sample for you buy them (especially the First Aid Beauty products) Take care everyone and I’ll be back soon ❤
