November 2015 UK Birchbox

Hi everyone, lets first take a moment on this Rememberence Sunday to thank every soldier who gave their lives for this country, lest we forget x

So this week I have had 3 subscription boxes come to my door! Birchbox drew me in at the end of October as you could get both variations of the box for the price of one so I signed up. Unfortunately the October box didn’t arrive until this week so I didn’t see much point in writing an unboxing post for you so we will start this series with the November box (which arrived a day later)

The November Birchbox is a collaboration with the brand Skinny Dip which sell (I had to research this) some really cute phone cases, bags etc and you also get a coupon code for £10 off at Skinny Dip when you spend over £24 which I may use. The box is covered with ombré clam shells which comes from the Skinny Dip brand as they sell handbags in this shape 😊 so let’s get into the products:

Thumbs Up Nail Wraps

 thumbs up nail wraps

I’ve always liked the look of nail wraps as they seem an easy way to get a pretty design on your nails for a special occasion without having to go to the nail salon. I like the design that’s on these but not sure if I’m really going to use them as you only get 5 in the pack. The full size version of these retail at £6.99

Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect

 number four spray

A leave in conditioner spray that is designed to detangle, protect your colour and repair the hair. I like the idea of this product but I really don’t like the smell of it. This is a 30ml sample which is a good size for a hair product so we shall see how it goes with this one. Full size is £20.00

Delarom Crème Acquaconfort

This is a lovely moisturiser, it has a light kind of gel like consistency and absorbs really quickly. This smells kind of like baby powder but it’s light and not overpowering. Full size is £34.00.

Lord & Berry Silhouette Neutral Lip Liner

I’ve seen Urban Decay and Too Faced have this version of this style of pencil. It’s a completely invisible pencil that can be used with and lip colour to help prevent bleeding and leave a crisp edge around your lips. I like this and can see myself using this every day (I was going to buy the Too Faced one so I’m glad I’ve got this!) full size retails at £9.00.

REN Wake Wonderful Night Time Facial

 ren night time facial

I was really happy to get this product. It’s designed to help stimulate cell renewal to leave the skin clearer and brighter as it contains a cocktail of skin friendly acids. I’ve tried this out and wow it smells very chemically but I did wake up the next day and thought my skin looked better, but with continued use we will see of its down to this product. Full size is £32.00.

Beauty Protector Beauty Cream Body Lotion

I like the cute packaging of this and the product itself smells divine – it’s like vanilla cookies but has a hint of musk so it’s not overly sweet. This is an awesome lotion that absorbs quickly, gives great hydration and the scent lingers on the skin for a long time. The full size of this retails at £8.00 and I can really see myself buying this.

That’s all the products in this month’s box, a little disappointing that there isn’t any full size items but I think the variety that you get from Birchbox is much superior to Glossybox and the thing that has really won me over is that you can buy all the products you get in your Birchbox from the Birchbox site.

What did you guys think of this month’s box? Let me know in the comments below. Don’t forget to like and follow and I’ll be back soon ❤
